A comfortable bed, a healthy breakfast and a good rest - that’s what’s on offer

Pegasus room

Relax in our comfy Pegasus Room: named for Port Pegasus, the historic safe anchorage that shaped the history of Stewart Island. After a peaceful night wrapped in fine linen and the deep stillness of Rakiura, you too may feel like singing, just like the korimako (bellbird) you might hear outside.

The room features a king bed, quality bed linen, a private bathroom, and double doors that open onto the deck: with an impressive view stretching across to the tranquil shores of Butterfield Beach.

Kaipipi room

Our Kaipipi Room is a peaceful retreat, offering comfort, space, and sweeping views of the bay. With a king bed, quality linen, a private bathroom, and double doors opening onto your own deck, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Stewart Island.

Whether you're enjoying a quiet morning coffee or watching the changing light over the water, the Kaipipi Room invites you to slow down and soak in the beauty of Rakiura.

The most important meal of the day - food to power you through whatever adventure you have planned.

We serve a Continental Breakfast with a difference - all fruit (with the exception of the limes which are used in the home cut lime marmalade) come from our family’s orchards in Central Otago; we freshly make the yoghurt and roast the coffee beans; preserves are made by us during the summer and autumn; juice is cold-pressed on the family orchard. We know where everything is from and how it has been made.

A typical breakfast service will include all or some of the following:

Fresh pastries

Toast and homemade preserves

Cold pressed apple juice

Fruit (preserved and / or fresh)

Home-made granola / muesli

Yoghurts

Freshly roasted and brewed coffee

A selection of teas: black, green and herbal

* gluten free is available on request
